Sharon Emerick
1956-01-26 2021-12-16Sharon Ann Emerick, 65 years old, of Midlothian TX, passed away on Thursday December 16, 2021.
Sharon was born in Hico, TX to Harold Prater and Pat Prater and she graduated from Arlington High School in Arlington, TX. Sharon was preceded in death by her brother, Glen Prater; father, Harold; and mother, Pat. She was married to her husband, Robert Emerick, of Midlothian TX, on November 19, 2011. Sharon enjoyed her pets, especially Sam, her lab of 15 years, and her new rot/pit, Sully. Just over the last 10 months you could not keep them apart! She also enjoyed driving her Corvettes--several over the years and a new one on order as we speak--, and digging in the dirt planting flowers as much as possible with her husband's help. Sharon spent all the time she could with her best friend, Pam Newton, doing whatever they wanted. She also enjoyed her and her husband’s classic cars and shows as well as Nascar events, traveling to different tracks, and all things with their best friends, Danny and Pam. Sharon worked for Six Flags for 20 plus years in payroll and tickets followed by a stint with the TX Department of Transportation and her husband’s companies until retirement in 2015.
Sharon was one of the sweetest, kindest, and most positive people around. She never met a stranger and would help anyone in need. Her new saying was "WHATEVER HAPPENS, IT WILL BE ALRIGHT."
Sharon is survived by her husband, Robert Emerick; several cousins, nieces, and nephews, and many close friends. SHE WILL BE MISSED BY ALL.
A visitation for Sharon will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. A graveside service will occur Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012.

Sharon was a beautiful person, I signed up years ago with a dale carnege course. Sharon was in that class and over the several month long course I watched her grow as a person and smile at her self perceived short comings. She rose to the top during the course and made friends with everyone in the class. You did not want to cross her, because she was not bashful and would let you know. She loved her red corvettes, and that beautiful red hair. She was a class act!!
